THE CULTURE & STRUCTURE
The Core Tenets that matter most to us are Trust, Respect, Discretion, Reputation and Leadership. Everything we do is guided by these principles which define the Firm’s character and culture. These basic principles have been at the core of Bravemarket since its inception. These enduring qualities are the shared convictions our people bring to our professional and personal conduct. They are fundamental to the strength of our business. These are the core tenets that separate us from other firms. These are core the tenets that have propelled us to be labelled by investors and clients as the “Wall Street Guys with Heart”. We wear this badge of honor humbly.
I.
TRUST
We are dedicated stewards and guardians of our investors and clients’ trust. We serve an important role in the lives of our investors and clients, and we honor the trust that has been placed in us by our daily decisions and actions. As a relationship-driven firm, we are deeply committed to building and sustaining long-term internal and external partnerships grounded in trust.
II.
RESPECT
We continually seek to understand and align the interests of all stakeholders, and we treat everyone with equity, professionalism and respect. We believe we can achieve more together by respecting each other’s vantage points. We believe that active collaboration across our team and with our investors and strategic partners generates better performance. We believe that respect is the key to safeguarding our long-lasting relationships.
III.
DISCRETION
We are committed to protecting the privacy of our investors and clients who value discretion and pay close attention to our corporate communication in respect of our investments and engagements, in particular our institutional advisory engagements with governments, ministries, and government agencies. Our people are required and expected to maintain and preserve the strict confidentiality of all our investors and clients entrusted to the Firm and to follow the guidelines set out in the Firm Privacy Directive.
IV.
REPUTATION
We aim to deliver the best-in-class quality in our work. It is in the DNA of the Firm. Our people strive to be the best at what we do. We settle for nothing less than superior performance achieved by initiative, intelligent judgement and hard work. We set high personal and company standards, and then constantly work to exceed them. We have self-motivated, highly capable, and results-oriented people. We recognize that reputation is the most valuable asset. Our focus on reputation and results creates a vibrant and meritocratic environment, directly linking individual performance with the Firm’s success.
V.
LEADERSHIP
We are recognized as role models in our professional and personal conduct. We proactively identify, develop and nurture leaders. That is why we choose to work with the brightest minds and most demanding professionals in the industry. We believe we help our clients succeed by employing leaders who are naturally enthusiastic and who put their hearts and minds into what they do. Leaders always seek to make a difference. Leaders take control, lead the narrative and demand the best from themselves and from those around them. This leads to the high-performance culture in the Firm that benefits our people, our investors and our clients.
GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
We retain a corporate governance structure built around industry best practice that complements our high-performance culture. To execute the investment and institutional advisory mandates entrusted to us by investors and clients, we have developed the following robust governance structure:
Investment Committee: We have an Investment Committee responsible for all investment-related decisions including new investments, divestments, add-on acquisitions, portfolio company financings and refinancing, as well as the overall monitoring of the funds’ investments. It is chaired by a member of the Executive Committee and is composed of five members, of which three are permanent and two are rotating, from a group of five rotating members.
Executive Committee: We have an Executive Committee that oversees the day-to day management of the Firm and all non-investment-related strategic and management decisions. It is composed of the Firm's three Managing Partners.
Advisory Board: We have an Advisory Board composed of three senior professionals from outside the Firm who supervise the medium and long-term strategy established by the Executive Committee and ensure the proper execution of management and advisory mandates entrusted to the management company by investors. The board is a non-executive body that monitors compliance and regulatory requirements.
Senior Management Team: We have a Senior Management Team that conducts formal monthly and quarterly meetings where the teams discuss the performance and development, valuation, exit strategy and expectations for each investment and engagement. This ensures objectivity in achieving milestones and deal team accountability. Our Senior Management Team also serves as the Firm’s Management Committee.
